My listing has been deleted

Listings are removed in a number of circumstances. Understanding why helps you avoid it happening again.

Reason 1 — Outdated availability dates

Free host listings with availability dates set in the past are periodically deactivated. This is to keep search results current for guests. To prevent this happening, log in regularly and keep your availability dates up to date.

Reason 2 — Listing not renewed

Free host listings are reviewed and removed approximately every 3–4 months. If you did not renew or update your listing within that period it may have been removed.

Reason 3 — Breach of guidelines

Listings are removed if they include contact details intended to encourage communication outside the site, such as:

• An email address in the listing description
• A phone number that has not been verified through our verification system
• Any wording that encourages guests to contact you by phone or email directly

Our fee is low compared to other services. We ask all members to play fair and keep communication on the site.

Reason 4 — Guest listings

Old guest listings are periodically removed to keep the site fresh. If your guest listing was removed, simply log in and create a new one.
